How to Carrara Marble?

1st step
Keep the marble clean by dusting or sweeping it regularly. Remove surface dirt cleaning debris before it has a chance to embed itself in Carrara's porous surface. To remove more grime, damp-mop the stone two to three times a week in high-traffic areas.

Step 2 After using a wet area, such as a shower, squeegee the marble to prevent too much water from wicking into the stone. Wipe up spills as soon as you discover them and use doormats around entryways to keep the Carrara as dry as possible.

Step 3 Use a marble cleaner to clean the Carrara as needed. To dry the stone and eliminate surface stains, spray the cleaner uniformly over the entire surface and wipe it dry with a soft cloth or mop. When cleaning the marble, buff dull patches using a chamois to help restore the gloss.

Step 4: Seal the Carrara to help prevent staining and mineral absorption. With a foam paintbrush, apply an impregnating sealant to the Carrara and buff off the excess with a soft cloth or chamois. If desired, apply a second coat of sealant to assist accentuate the polished or tumbled Carrara.
