The price of the slab also varies depending on the size chosen. A gangsaw slab, for example, would be more expensive than a cutter slab.

Maintenance of Black Galaxy Granite
In the world of natural stone, Black Galaxy granite is unique in that it does not need to be sealed. It is extremely thick and does not absorb much. When a sealer is applied, it is not absorbed into the surface and may cause streaking or a hazy finish. Spills may not absorb and discolor instantly, but they must be wiped up as soon as possible.
Acidic drinks can cause harm to the stone and should be avoided if at all feasible. Specialty cleaners are available, but a warm soapy cloth or sponge should suffice most of the time.
