New York Marble Slabs: Reading Violet Veins, Slab Sequence, and Bookmatch before Cutting

New York marble can move from a milky white field into violet, burgundy, grey, and fine gold lines within one face. A cropped photograph cannot show whether that movement forms a calm wall, a dramatic bookmatch, or an awkward break around an opening. The selected sequence must be tested at elevation scale, including joints, corners, cutouts, reflected light, and the viewer’s approach.
