Daily Cleaning of Marble Kitchen Countertop Surface
It's a constant effort to keep your marble looking new. Here's what you should do.
1.
Get into the habit of cleaning down your countertop with a damp soft
cloth or sponge and a mild soap and water solution every day. I prefer
antibacterial dish soap. Avoid getting the counter wet. You're merely
wiping down the counter, not washing it.
2. Clean up any spilled food
as soon as possible so that it does not cause a stain or discoloration.
Even with a sealant, it can happen faster than you believe. Keep in
mind that a sealant is a stain prevention solution. It will not make
your marble stain-resistant.
3. Use a cutting board for all meal
preparation so that no food or liquids touch the countertop. I enjoy

Coasters are really useful. Red wine, soda, juice, and coffee have all been known to discolor marble.
4. Clean up liquid spills as soon as possible. Water, too, can leave a mark if left for too long.

5. Stay away from harsh cleansers. They’ll eat away the sealant layer and leave your marble more susceptible to stains.
